"Pine Timber Board Express's history dates back to 1916 when Mr Essa Hassim started a building hardware business at Pine Street, Durban.

In 1941 he was joined by his son Mr Osman Essa. In 1976, Mr Osman Essa left the family business to start his own business. He died in the same year, leaving his sons Ashraff, Sadiq and NagibHassim to carry on with the family business.

That was the birth of Pine Timber Board Express which was situated in Pine Road, Clairwood.

Currently the executive committee of Pine Timber Board Express comprises of Mahomed Nagib Osman Hassim (Director) and Mahomed Ishrath Hassim (Senior Manager).

Pine Timber Board Express is widely supported by the building industry, shop fitting companies and hardware stores in the greater Durban areas.
They also export to numerous overseas clients."
